Why Obama Should/Hasn't Been Impeached

The right to impeach public officials is secured by the U.S. Constitution in Article I, Sections 2 and 3, which discuss the procedure, and in Article II, Section 4, which indicates the grounds for impeachment: "the President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."
Removing an official from office requires two steps: (1) a formal accusation, or impeachment, by the House of Representatives, and (2) a trial and conviction by the Senate. Impeachment requires a majority vote of the House; conviction is more difficult, requiring a two-thirds vote by the Senate. The vice president presides over the Senate proceedings in the case of all officials except the president, whose trial is presided over by the chief justice of the Supreme Court. This is because the vice president can hardly be considered a disinterested party—if his or her boss is forced out of office he or she is next in line for the top job!
What Are "High Crimes and Misdemeanors?" Bribery, perjury, and treason are among the least ambiguous reasons meriting impeachment, but the ocean of wrongdoing encompassed by the Constitution's stipulation of "high crimes and misdemeanors" is vast. Abuse of power and serious misconduct in office fit this category, but one act that is definitely not grounds for impeachment is partisan discord. Several impeachment cases have confused political animosity with genuine crimes. Since Congress, the vortex of partisanship, is responsible for indicting, trying, and convicting public officials, it is necessary for the legislative branch to temporarily cast aside its factional nature and adopt a judicial role.

I did some research on why Obama hasn't been impeached yet and why he should probably be impeached. I found many interesting articles that I would like to share that I believe prove that he should have been impeached a long time ago.
The first article I read was about Obama and why he hasn't been impeached yet. "The list of violations of the law and the U.S. Constitution by the Obama administration is well documented and long.  The real question is: why isn't he held accountable?  We know the Left will never take one of their own to task for breaking the law.  To them, the rule of law is not something to take seriously.  But why hasn't the media, or the majority of the general public, been calling for Obama’s head?  The answer is simple.  It is because he is the first black president of the United States."
(Read more at http://www.westernjournalism.com/obama-hiding-behind-color-skin-repeatedly-violate-law-time-impeachment/#qhFf2ym8BWd5EZcM.99 )
Basically the article goes on to state that Obama uses his race to his advantage. Think about it nobody wants to impeach the guy because if they even attempt to do it they would be called racists. Also it would be horrible if Obama, being the first black president, also got impeached. It would make it harder for future generations of African Americans to become president.
However, Obama needs to be impeached, there is no doubt about it. He has had at least 25 Violations of Law by himself and his Administration.

President Obama, throughout his Presidency, has refused to enforce long-established U.S. immigration laws. For example . . . More than 300,000 captured illegal aliens had been processed and were awaiting deportation. But, incredibly, Obama stopped these deportations and ordered the U.S. border patrol to release many of these illegal aliens in violation of law and without explanation. Congress rejected Obama's so called DREAM ACT – which would have granted permanent residency to many illegal aliens. So Obama enacted his own version of the DREAM ACT by Executive Order, thus directly defying Congress. According to Obama's Executive Order, illegal aliens can stay in America if they are under the age of 30, have been in America for at least five years, are enrolled in school or have graduated from high school, and have committed no felonies.
Obama's assault on Christians and religious freedom. Obama's Health and Human Services Department has, on its own (without Congressional approval), issued a mandate that all health insurance plans must include coverage for abortion-inducing drugs. As a result, pro-life employers and taxpayers are now effectively required by law to pay for abortions. This mandate is an unconstitutional attack on the protections for freedom of religion and freedom of conscience in the First Amendment and the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This mandate also directly violates the ObamaCare law enacted by Congress, which prohibits any and all taxpayer funds from being used to pay for abortions.
Obama forced ObamaCare on an unwilling public through bribery and lying about its cost. Obama managed to secure passage of ObamaCare by one vote in the Senate by bribing senators. He bribed Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska with the notorious "Cornhusker Kickback." He bribed Senator Mary Landrieu with the infamous $300 million "Louisiana Purchase." In addition, Obama knowingly and blatantly lied to America and to Congress about how much ObamaCare would really cost. The cost of ObamaCare to the American people over the next 10 years will not be less than $1 TRILLION, as Obama promised in his nationally televised speech to the nation. Instead, the real cost of ObamaCare to the Federal Treasury is $2.4 TRILLION, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. But the true cost of ObamaCare is more like $10 TRILLION when you factor in the cost to the states, the cost to individual Americans who are now required to purchase Obama-approved health plans (the "Individual Mandate"), the cost of exploding health insurance premiums, the $716 billion ObamaCare steals from Medicare, and the increased cost to businesses of complying with ObamaCare mandates.
Operation Fast & Furious. "Operation Fast & Furious" was the Obama Administration's gun-running scheme that put thousands of American-made semi-automatic weapons in the hands of Mexican drug cartels and resulted in the death of at least one U.S. Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry. Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress and the public, claiming he didn't know about his Justice Department's Fast & Furious operation. Congress has now held Holder in contempt for defying congressional subpoenas and refusing to turn over thousands of Justice Department documents on Fast & Furious. President Obama asserted Executive Privilege to try to protect Holder. But for Executive Privilege to apply, Obama would have had to have known about Fast & Furious, making the President as culpable as Holder. Investigators suspect that Fast & Furious was an effort by the Obama Administration to discredit lawful gun ownership in America by purposefully creating gun crimes, thus inducing public outcry for gun control. When it put thousands of semi-automatic weapons in the hands of Mexican drug cartels, the Obama Justice Department knew these guns would be used to commit crimes, perhaps even kill some Americans. Then Obama could say: "See how dangerous these guns are. We must ban them."
Department of the Interior (DOI): Forced Glendale, a family-oriented town in Arizona, to become another Las Vegas against its will by granting "reservation status" to a 54-acre plot in the town, where the Tohono O'odham Indian Nation plans to build a resort and casino." (SOURCE: Report from Nine State Attorneys General)
Obama knowingly lied to Congress and the American people about the killing of U.S. Ambassador Chris Steven and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya. The President and his representative repeatedly said an anti-Islamic video sparked a spontaneous uprising in Libya that resulted in the killings even though Obama knew that the attack was a well-planned military-style assault by al Qaeda on the anniversary of September 11th.
Michelle Obama's family trip to Africa in June of 2011, including a private safari at a South African game reserve, cost American taxpayers $424,000 for air travel alone. Mrs. Obama brought along both her makeup artist and hairstylist, as well as her mother, a niece and nephew, and her daughters, who were listed as "senior staff members."
I am disappointed that nobody has done anything yet. When the Watergate scandal went down when Nixon was President people were all over that. For those of you who don't remember Watergate this is basically what happened. President Nixon was known for recording every conversation and meeting that went on between him and anybody else. On June 17, 1972, five men broke into the Watergate Complex in D.C. When this crime was investigated, it was found that Nixon had prior knowledge of this scandal, and he had tape recordings to prove it. When asked to turn over the tapes, Nixon refused. This was against the law, but Nixon declared that he had executive privilege, or that he was protected against the law because he was president. However, the court declared it unconsitutional, proving that no president was above the law. Nixon, facing impeachment, resigned from office on August 9, 1974. He was (and still is) the only president to have resigned in the history of the United States. Nixon was on the verge of being Impeached because of one bad thing he did, he is very different from Obama for 3 reasons: first, Nixon’s law breaking was more of an artifact of his peculiar personality, not a well-thought-out plan to circumvent Congress to accomplish his policy goals; second, there’s no “impeachment lobby” at work to investigate and demand public attention and action on Obama’s law breaking, as there was with Nixon’s Watergate cover-up. Third and last; there’s no leadership in Congress willing to use the means and tools the Constitution provides to actually hold a President accountable for violating the law, and that being the case Obama is right, as a President, with a spineless Congress prostrate at his feet, unlike Nixon, he can indeed do anything he wants.

So here is my question . . . why hasn't anybody stood up and said anything. Why must we the people sit around and watch this man destroy the thing our founding fathers fought so hard for? The thing that so many men died for? Why should we sit around and watch as our "President" takes away our rights? I think it's time "We The People" stand up for what is right.

Let us not forget what our right are!!!

Deliverance Through the Atonement

So for those of you who don't know my husband and I have been TTC for over 8 months and have had no success. My sister in-law got pregnant during this time and it has been very hard for me. But my sister(who is going through the same thing as me) showed me a blog and this quote stuck with me!!

"You are not just your infertility. Don’t let it define every aspect of your life and hold you back from enjoying what you have now. Don’t let yourself be trapped in the thought that you must not be a good enough person to get a baby (believe me, I’ve been there), because it’s not true. There are so many good, strong, faithful women with families of their own, but being good is not a precursor to having children. It seems that any fifteen-year-old pothead can have a baby, but remember that, just as it takes a strong woman to raise a righteous family, it takes an equally strong–and in some ways, stronger–woman to be able to withstand the pain and resentment that comes with infertility.
You’re strong. God loves you. He has always known you would struggle with infertility and it never once made Him love you less. Remember that, and embrace the joy whenever and wherever you can."

I am trying very hard to not let my "infertility" define every aspect of my life, to be the center of my universe. It's hard but I know that with time and with help from my Heavenly Father through the atonement I can begin to live a full life.

I also suffer from depression so my infertility has only made it worse. But recently I bought called "Deliverance from Depression: Finding Hope and Healing Through The Atonement of Christ" it's by G.G. Vandagriff, Greg Vandagriff, and David P. Vandagriff. Depression is a complicated this but this book explains it perfectly....

"When you have depression, the only thing that seems to exist inside you is a void so deep and so dark that you alternately fear for your life on the one hand, and wish for extinction on the other. You echo Nephi's anguished cry, 'O wretched man that I am!  Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities. . . . And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins"

"When you have depression, your nervous system stops functioning properly, which means that all the nerve ending that should be communicating the visual and sensory details of the scene before you-as well as the love you should be feeling for your spouse, your children, and your creator- are not doing their job. you cannot feel because in a very literal sense your brain is broken."

"A broken brain is a physical condition-it has no more to do with personal righteousness than the ravaging physical effects of cancer. However, a key difference between depression and other illnesses is that the symptoms of depression are largely mental and emotion. A depressed person can rarely feel anything but blankness. When you are depressed, it is very unusual to be able to feel the Spirit- not because you have sinned, but because you can't feel ANY positive emotions: hope, joy, peace, happiness, charity, or love. For this reason as Elder Alexander B. Morrison has counseled, a depressed person must be careful of the buffeting of the adversary. "Those who suffer from mental illness, who are burdened with pain, depression and confusion must, I believe, be especially on their guard against the devil and his agent"

The book goes on to explain how we can be delivered from depression through the atonement. I am working on using the atonement in my life not just to help me with not being able to be a mother at this time but with my depression as a whole. I hope someday I will be rid of it forever.

P.S.: You can buy "Deliverance from Depression: Finding Hope and Healing Through The Atonement of Christ" by G.G. Vandagriff, Greg Vandagriff, and David P. Vandagriff at Deseret Book

Don't Tear Down

This is something my husband Nate wrote:

Ok, so recently I've noticed a lot of religious conflict happening in the most random places and times all over the world. This isn't anything new. You find it especially in the internet, in places where you don't expect to get harassed for your beliefs, such as your own Facebook page or even as simple an app as ifunny or Instagram. With so much confusion in the world due to rights being torn down and tyrants rising up in other countries, and even corruption within our own, it's not surprising that everyone blames God for this time of turmoil.
I'm a member of the LDS church, or Mormons, as we've come to be know. Because of centuries of rumors and falsehoods spread about us, usually we get a bad rep in peoples eyes. This isn't new to us. The LDS people have been persecuted since the beginning of the restoration of the church.
The sad part, though, is the persecution that comes from the members within the church. I have many nonmember friends. There has been more than one instance where they have been made fun of or left out because of the religious status, or lack thereof. It breaks my heart to see them, children of God, persecuted by the very people who claim to be God's emissaries on this Earth knowing that because of their actions they won't ever allow themselves to investigate further. Who would want to be a member of a church whose members judge others, demean those different than them, and jump to the worst conclusions of people who are simply seeking peace from God?
And that's not even the worst of it. There are many members of our church who feel unwanted, unloved, and sometimes directly hated by their fellow members. It causes rifts where there should be bonds, and darkness where there should be light. Many of these members end up leaving the church and turning completely against God.
Now, I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. The actions of these members mistreating those around them does not waver my faith in my God. It hurts my soul, but it doesn't break my testimony. The famous saying in the church is that the church is true but the people aren't. Well this is my call to repentance, folks. It's time we stood up and joined the ranks of truth, and not just in testimony, but in actions of kindness and understanding as well.
Everyone upon this Earth, no matter the color, religious or sexual or political preference, are children of God. They should be treated that way.
Now I'm about to say something I hope you take to heart: Don't tear don't the faith of others! It doesn't matter your religion. If a person has faith in God or themselves, no matter the sect they belong to, then let that faith grow. Too often people find a reason to destroy or demean. Well folks, times are changing. Our human desires to demean and destroy is causing the destruction of our very way of life. Learn to understand and improve upon, for that is the way Christ taught, is it not?
There are many commandments in the scriptures that we as a people and as persons should follow. But the greatest commandment God gave us was to love God above all others and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Again, in this, I see that which I had said above, and I repeat: Do not tear down the faith of others!
I pray we can all come to this understanding.
For those of you who are members, allow me to remind you of something that is an important part of our faith. We believe that once Christ returns to this Earth, he will accept all those who believe in Him and have strived to keep the commandments, and they will all have the opportunity to reign with God in what we believe is the highest degree of glory. That means all faiths. We have no right to judge those who belong to another church. We are all working together, or should be working together, to help the children of God return to him, all of them. He gives us endless chances to repent and return to Him. And when we blatantly deter others from faith in Him by judging them because of their religion and lifestyle we are getting in the way of His out reached hands!
I served as a Mormon missionary in Nicaragua about four years ago. There were times I was judged by the color of my skin, for my religion, and even my sexual preference. So trust me when I say that I know how it feels to be the different one in the crowd. My life was threatened at times for my religion. And those I taught were treated the same way, by members of our church and others alike. It was the hardest time in my life. But because of those years I can now stand and say that I know the worth of souls to God, and it is great! That is why when somebody who has spent their whole life professing to know God, whether part of my religion or another, rips out the faith of another from under them it infuriates me to the core! I've always stayed silent on these matters, as I don't like to cause a scene. But I can't do things that way anymore. I can't sit by and watch as others cause religious war for the same God. We all are His children and we all are trying to return to Him. Let us not get in our own way.
Do not tear down the faiths of others. Do research before making conclusions. See the best in people that are different than you. Be selfless to them. Serve them. Visit other churches and see what they believe! Make friends with those others reject. Did not Christ heal the lepers when all other rejected them?
We all deserve a chance at happiness and religious freedom. It's what caused this country's start, religious independence. So stop the squabbling of meaningless disputes.
I know many will scoff at this short article, tear it down, or do everything they can to demean me and my beliefs, hiding behind the internet anonymity. It will not work. I believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I do my best to accept all people, no matter their race or lifestyle. I am not perfect in this, but I am trying. I've gotten to the point in my life where I don't care what others think of me, but more what I think of others, and aligning it with how my Father in Heaven thinks of them. I hope we all can do the same.

TTC

Just this past December Nate and I told my family that we are TTC (trying to conceive), and that we have been since the end of August(about 5 months). When I first told people (friends specifically) a lot of them freaked out, especially since Nate and I had only been married for about 2 months. But after praying and going to the temple we both new it was time to start our family. For months nothing happened, and I was ok with it most of the time. But lately it's been hard, especially after we found out that Nate's brother and his wife were expecting in December. I literally broke down, and even thinking about it now get's me all teary eyed. I feel horrible because I'm mad that they have something that I have been trying to get for months now. I can only imagine how my older sister feels, as she has been trying for over 8 months(as long as I have been married). I want to start a family so bad, but I also know I have to wait. But for those of you who know me, you know how impatient I am. I'm honestly just dying inside. I have never wanted something so bad in my life, and every time I get that negative pregnancy test or my period comes my heart breaks. I can't help but have thoughts that it's my fault that we aren't pregnant yet and that there is something wrong with me. I know I shouldn't be thinking that but I do it a lot more often than I lead on. The only thing I can do is remember that "Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don't come until heaven; but for those who life the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come" Jeffery R. Holland.

Ooopsie Daisy....

Ever since we got Pepsi we have been letting him go potty on the porch of our apartment. Well tonight Nate and I decided it was time to clean it up. He grabbed a couple garbage bags and picked up the dog poo and I promptly got a mop and bucket ready to mop up all the pee that had stained the concrete. I scrubbed and scrubbed and began pushing the water towards the drain, this is when trouble hit us. I heard the water falling and thought nothing of it, until after a while of pushing pee smelling water I heard a female voice say "Are you dumping stuff?" I said nothing and went and told Nate what she had said. Turns out the people who designed our apartment are rather stupid....the third and second story drains are lined up perfectly. Meanwhile the first story sticks out about a foot. So all that yucky smelling water fell promptly onto the right corner of our downstairs neighbors porch. We feel super bad but we kind of just assumed that we could push the water down the drain.....boy were we wrong.
